An Update And A Reflection

Submitted by steve on 29 October, 2008 - 19:57

So here I am looking at new layouts for P9TV and it seems to me that I am always adjusting the look of the site, never quite happy with the look, never quite happy with the usability of the site, and never quite happy with the traffic, true we get almost 500,000 visitors per month, but we should, in my opinion, have much more than that, 5 times that much easily, 10 times that much if I were to spend more time here. But I haven't been able to promote the site further, to get more to the site from search engines, from partners, from link services. But why hasn't it achieved its place as a community site? I think it has to do with a number of items, and here I am going to list them out for you in a very candid list, uncensored and unscripted.

I have Spore installed and am working on my review which will be written up and hopefully recorded later this week. I can tell you early on it doesn't disappoint.

Until the review is done, find something to keep yourself busy. Later kiddies!

Updates on P9

Submitted by steve on 31 August, 2008 - 16:30

I haven't been posting lately, not because I haven't been working on P9TV but because I have been. Yes I know, sounds strange, but I have been working on a few iPhone Apps that I plan to release to the public in the next couple of weeks through the iTunes App store. One for sure will be a viewer to watch all of the P9TV shows we offer on your iPhone, but a ton of other Apps I can't yet release info on, but will be and soon. I am putting the finishing touches on one today and hope to be running it on my iPhone by tomorrow. Then I will submit it for review and inclusion on iTunes. And hope it's accepted and released. When it is, I will let you know!

Site Layout

Submitted by steve on 9 August, 2008 - 23:59

You will have noticed I made a change to the layout AGAIN, and its my desire to make P9TV the best thats caused this. BUT this is NOT the final design, and is only temporary as I build and roll out new features. So please do keep your eyes out, as I change the landscape here and bring in the new era of P9TV 2 years after launching, bringing about what we have always wanted to do, but were afraid to do so.

Excited I Must Say

Submitted by steve on 21 June, 2008 - 14:54

GZone returned this week and the view count has been steadily rising, and I am happy about it. This is a project I always enjoyed doing and its great to bring it back for another 'season'. I know, IPTV isn't yet set into a season, but I thought it was useful as GZone has gone through some radical changes since last 'season'.

And I am excited (more so) to release it for the first time in HD. Tonight see's the release of 720p and 1080i GZone episodes.

These will be added to iTunes very soon and added to anywhere I can find to add them to.

I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoy making.

What A Pleasure

Submitted by steve on 2 June, 2008 - 18:58

It is with great pleasure that I have completed my first feature film script, and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I am in the process of working with producers to pitch the idea to 'money'. I am hoping to either have funding from an Executive Producer or am self financing it. Either way, later this summer we start filming.

I will be posting weekly updates here, and only here, as well as a 'set diary' videocast.

I have never in my life been as excited as I am right now. Its been a pleasure to work on, and a relief to get it done.

Long Week

Submitted by steve on 23 February, 2008 - 12:17

Its a long week at work, having to put in a Saturday to help get caught up, and I just felt like blogging it to the world and let you know I am envious if you are at home reading this instead of at work. I would rather be working on the script and writing the music, or finally getting around to getting Devil May Cry 4 and writing the review. But alas, responsibility over takes the joys of one's life.

Here's to you and a great weekend for all!

In Closing

Submitted by steve on 4 February, 2008 - 22:56

Today I finished the first draft of my script, still unnamed on the website. But I will soon be able to reveal the name to you. However, in the meantime, I am excited. And feel proud of the accomplishment. There is still alot I need to complete, so shooting, or even casting, will not be going on for sometime. But I am done with the first stage. Done with the first draft.

The words are so difficult to even write. I have been working on this script for almost a year and a half. Sometimes due to writers block, sometimes to personal issues, and sometimes from needing a break.

But here I am, and hear I stand up and take a personal bow.

And now for the difficult part, to see IF what I wrote is completely changed or if it maintains its status and flow. Time will tell. And maybe a third draft as well.

Thanks to each of you for just being there and for reading this.

Until we meet again, this is Steve signing off to Never Never Land.

Script Moving Along

Submitted by steve on 19 January, 2008 - 16:36

Today I spent a great deal of time on the film script I have been working on for the last year, and am closer now than ever before. I am nearing the final conflict and end of the story.

I soon will be able to do my revision and get the script completed as well as start working on the music portion, because, this film is a musical. And will then be able to move on to principle photography/casting/etc.

This is such an exciting time for me, I can't wait to get through this. Its such a great feeling, and I am so proud of the work I have done so far.

Thank you, to everyone of you, your visits here make me proud, and happy to continue down my path with you, and your support.
