An Update And A Reflection
So here I am looking at new layouts for P9TV and it seems to me that I am always adjusting the look of the site, never quite happy with the look, never quite happy with the usability of the site, and never quite happy with the traffic, true we get almost 500,000 visitors per month, but we should, in my opinion, have much more than that, 5 times that much easily, 10 times that much if I were to spend more time here. But I haven't been able to promote the site further, to get more to the site from search engines, from partners, from link services. But why hasn't it achieved its place as a community site? I think it has to do with a number of items, and here I am going to list them out for you in a very candid list, uncensored and unscripted.
1) Number of articles
a) the site does not get enough articles
2) Length of articles
a) the articles do not have enough substance to them
3) Quality of articles
a) I put my soul into this site but that doesn't come through in the articles as they should
4) Sections
a) P9 does not have enough sections for people to come in and visit and then to keep them here
5) Promises
a) I tend to, in an effort to add more content, offer up news on projects I am working on, and ones that fall to the wayside
6) Media Player
a) The player is not what it should be and doesn't have an easy effort
These are a few of the problems with P9TV as I see them, and now onto what it is I pledge to do to correct that.
1) To write more often to the site, and bring REAL journalistic visions to the site
2) To focus on more about quality content and spend the time to write out the article without trying to rush through it in an effort to publish quicker, you deserve better
3) To expand the sections and features on P9TV, but to correct the promises portion, I am not going to release information UNTIL I am closer to completion and do not plan on killing the project
4) To finalize the Media Player and brand it properly.
I can't do more than to give you what you deserve, the best I have to offer. I have been working on this site for 3 years, building it up, fixing things, and writing, and I do not plan on ending that anytime in the foreseeable future. Only to expand on what is here.
So my pledge to you is to give you my best, and if that then isn't good enough, then this site's failures lie in my talent, not on my inability to provide that which I myself expect from other sites.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and taking the time to visit P9TV, I appreciate everyone of you, and starting today, providing more to you. You deserve the best, and I will provide the best.
Sincerely
